Welcome to youthhirelink.ca (“Youth Hire Link,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of our website, job portal, online platform, job postings, employer accounts, job seeker accounts, forms, profiles, communications, content, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).
By accessing, browsing, registering for, or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not access or use the Platform.
These Terms are intended to protect Youth Hire Link, its owners, directors, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers to the fullest extent permitted by law.
youthhirelink.ca is an online job portal based in Alberta, Canada. The Platform allows job seekers and employers to connect for employment-related purposes.
Youth Hire Link is a technology platform and does not guarantee employment, hiring, interviews, job offers, candidate suitability, employer suitability, work authorization, immigration outcomes, wages, working conditions, or the accuracy of information provided by users.
Unless expressly agreed in writing, Youth Hire Link is not acting as an employer, employee, recruitment agency, employment agency, immigration representative, legal advisor, human resources advisor, or employment standards advisor for any user.
All hiring decisions, employment offers, employment contracts, workplace conditions, wages, schedules, job duties, background checks, reference checks, and employment relationships are strictly between the job seeker and the employer.
You may use the Platform only if you are legally permitted to do so.
If you are under the age of majority in your province or territory of residence, you must use the Platform with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
Employers are solely responsible for ensuring that any hiring of youth, minors, students, or young workers complies with all applicable laws, including employment standards, child employment rules, occupational health and safety laws, human rights laws, and workplace safety requirements.
Youth Hire Link does not verify whether a job seeker is legally permitted to work in a particular job, whether a youth worker may legally perform certain duties, or whether an employer is compliant with youth employment requirements.
To access certain features, users may be required to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating or using an account.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your username, password, and account access. You are also responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
Youth Hire Link is not responsible for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized access to your account, unless caused directly by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
We reserve the right to refuse registration, suspend accounts, restrict access, remove content, or terminate accounts at any time, with or without notice, if we believe a user has violated these Terms, provided false information, misused the Platform, created risk for other users, or engaged in unlawful or harmful conduct.
Job seekers are solely responsible for the information they provide on the Platform, including resumes, profiles, education history, work experience, certifications, references, availability, work authorization, and contact information.
By using the Platform as a job seeker, you agree that:
All information you provide will be truthful, accurate, current, and not misleading.
You will not submit false documents, false qualifications, fake references, or misleading work history.
You will independently review and verify job postings before applying or accepting employment.
You will not rely solely on Youth Hire Link to confirm the legitimacy, safety, accuracy, or suitability of any employer or job opportunity.
You are responsible for confirming the terms of any job offer directly with the employer before accepting employment.
You understand that Youth Hire Link does not guarantee interviews, job offers, employment, income, work authorization, immigration status, or employer response.
Youth Hire Link is not responsible for any loss, harm, dispute, or damage resulting from a job seeker’s interaction with any employer, recruiter, company, or third party.
Employers, recruiters, staffing agencies, and hiring representatives are solely responsible for all job postings, hiring practices, communications, offers, employment contracts, wages, workplace conditions, and compliance with applicable laws.
By using the Platform as an employer, you agree that:
All job postings must be accurate, lawful, complete, and not misleading.
You will comply with all applicable employment standards, human rights laws, occupational health and safety laws, privacy laws, tax laws, workers’ compensation obligations, youth employment rules, and any other applicable legal requirements.
You will not post discriminatory, unsafe, exploitative, illegal, unpaid, misleading, commission-only, or inappropriate jobs unless legally permitted and clearly disclosed.
You will not charge job seekers any fee for applying, interviewing, being considered, or being hired.
You will not request unnecessary sensitive personal information from job seekers.
You will use job seeker information only for legitimate recruitment and hiring purposes.
You are responsible for verifying a candidate’s identity, qualifications, references, certifications, work authorization, eligibility, experience, and suitability.
You will not misrepresent your business, job opportunity, compensation, location, working conditions, or hiring authority.
Youth Hire Link may review, edit, reject, remove, suspend, or delete any job posting at its sole discretion. However, Youth Hire Link is not obligated to screen, monitor, verify, or approve every job posting, employer, candidate, or communication.
Youth Hire Link may, at its discretion, perform limited checks, reviews, moderation, or screening of users, job postings, or content. However, any such action does not create a guarantee, warranty, endorsement, or certification.
Youth Hire Link does not guarantee that:
A job posting is genuine, active, accurate, or lawful.
An employer is legitimate, licensed, compliant, or financially stable.
A candidate is qualified, truthful, suitable, legally authorized to work, or available.
A job offer, interview, wage, benefit, or employment term is valid or enforceable.
Any user will act honestly, lawfully, safely, or professionally.
Users must conduct their own due diligence before entering into any employment, hiring, business, or service relationship.
Users may submit, upload, post, or share content through the Platform, including resumes, profiles, job postings, company descriptions, logos, documents, photos, messages, and other materials (“User Content”).
By submitting User Content, you confirm that:
You own or have permission to use and submit the content.
The content is accurate, lawful, and not misleading.
The content does not violate any third-party rights.
The content does not contain defamatory, discriminatory, abusive, fraudulent, obscene, harmful, or unlawful material.
The content does not contain viruses, malware, or harmful code.
You grant Youth Hire Link a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, host, store, reproduce, display, publish, distribute, modify, and process your User Content as reasonably necessary to operate, promote, improve, and provide the Platform.
Youth Hire Link may remove, modify, restrict, or refuse any User Content at any time, with or without notice.
You must not use the Platform to:
Post false, misleading, fraudulent, or deceptive information.
Impersonate another person, employer, recruiter, organization, or business.
Post discriminatory, hateful, abusive, threatening, harassing, defamatory, or offensive content.
Violate employment standards, human rights laws, privacy laws, immigration laws, workplace safety laws, or any other applicable law.
Request or collect money from job seekers for hiring consideration.
Operate scams, phishing schemes, fake job postings, or fraudulent recruitment activity.
Collect, scrape, harvest, sell, or misuse user data.
Send spam, unsolicited messages, or mass communications.
Upload harmful software, viruses, malware, or code.
Attempt to hack, disable, overload, reverse engineer, or interfere with the Platform.
Use the Platform for illegal, unsafe, adult, exploitative, or harmful services.
Use the Platform in a way that damages Youth Hire Link’s reputation, business, systems, users, or legal interests.
Youth Hire Link reserves the right to investigate suspected misuse and cooperate with law enforcement, regulators, or other authorities where appropriate.
Youth Hire Link may offer free and paid services, including job postings, featured listings, employer packages, advertising, resume access, recruitment support, or promotional services.
All fees, billing terms, service details, and refund terms will be provided at the time of purchase or registration for the applicable service.
Unless otherwise stated in writing, all fees are non-refundable once the service has started, the job posting has been published, advertising has begun, or access to a paid feature has been provided.
Youth Hire Link may change its fees, packages, features, and payment terms at any time.
The Platform may contain links to employer websites, social media pages, payment processors, third-party tools, external resources, or other websites.
Youth Hire Link does not own or control third-party websites and is not responsible for their content, accuracy, privacy practices, security, services, products, or business conduct.
Accessing third-party links is at your own risk.
Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
By using the Platform, you consent to the collection, use, storage, disclosure, and processing of personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws.
Employers must protect candidate information and use it only for lawful recruitment and hiring purposes. Employers must not disclose, sell, misuse, or retain candidate information except as permitted by law.
Youth Hire Link is not responsible for how employers, recruiters, job seekers, or third parties use personal information after it has been shared through the Platform, except where required by applicable law.
All Platform content, branding, design, layout, graphics, software, features, logos, names, text, icons, and materials, excluding User Content, are owned by or licensed to Youth Hire Link and are protected by intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, license, reverse engineer, or use Youth Hire Link’s intellectual property without prior written permission.
The name “Youth Hire Link,” the domain “youthhirelink.ca,” and related branding may not be used without authorization.
Youth Hire Link may update, modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time, with or without notice.
We do not guarantee that the Platform will always be available, secure, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or browser.
Youth Hire Link is not liable for losses caused by downtime, system errors, data loss, technical problems, cyber incidents, maintenance, or service interruptions, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.
The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Youth Hire Link disclaims all warranties, representations, and conditions, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, security, and suitability.
Youth Hire Link does not warrant that:
The Platform will meet your expectations.
Job postings or candidate profiles will be accurate or reliable.
Users will act honestly or lawfully.
Any employment, hiring, or recruitment outcome will occur.
The Platform will be free from viruses, errors, cyber threats, or harmful components.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Youth Hire Link and its owners, directors, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, partners, and service providers will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, aggravated, punitive, or exemplary damages arising from or related to:
Your use of or inability to use the Platform.
Any job posting, application, interview, job offer, hiring decision, rejection, termination, or employment relationship.
Any false, misleading, inaccurate, unlawful, or incomplete information provided by users.
Any dispute between job seekers, employers, recruiters, or third parties.
Any employer’s hiring practices, workplace conditions, wages, safety, discrimination, harassment, or legal compliance.
Any candidate’s qualifications, conduct, availability, work authorization, or suitability.
Unauthorized access, cyber incidents, system failures, data loss, or service interruption.
Third-party websites, tools, payment processors, or external services.
Loss of income, profit, employment opportunity, business opportunity, data, goodwill, reputation, or anticipated savings.
Where liability cannot be fully excluded under applicable law, Youth Hire Link’s total liability will be limited to the amount paid by the user to Youth Hire Link for the specific service giving rise to the claim in the three months before the claim arose, or CAD $100, whichever is greater.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Youth Hire Link and its owners, directors, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, partners, and service providers from and against any claims, demands, actions, losses, damages, liabilities, penalties, fines, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from or related to:
Your use or misuse of the Platform.
Your violation of these Terms.
Your violation of any law or regulation.
Your User Content.
Your false, misleading, or unlawful information.
Your interaction, dispute, employment relationship, hiring process, or communication with another user.
Your breach of privacy, confidentiality, employment, human rights, workplace safety, immigration, or youth employment laws.
Any claim made by a job seeker, employer, employee, contractor, regulator, or third party because of your actions or omissions.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release Youth Hire Link and its owners, directors, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers from any claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, or disputes arising from your interactions with other users, employers, job seekers, recruiters, advertisers, or third parties through the Platform.
Youth Hire Link may suspend, restrict, delete, or terminate your account or access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, if we believe that:
You violated these Terms.
You provided false or misleading information.
You misused the Platform.
You created legal, reputational, safety, privacy, or security risk.
Your conduct may harm Youth Hire Link or other users.
We are required to do so by law, regulator, court order, or business necessity.
Termination does not limit any rights or remedies available to Youth Hire Link.
Users should report suspicious job postings, fake employers, fraudulent candidates, scams, privacy concerns, harassment, or misuse of the Platform.

Youth Hire Link may review reports and take action at its discretion, including removing content, suspending accounts, restricting access, or cooperating with authorities.
Youth Hire Link does not guarantee that every report will result in action.
Youth Hire Link may update these Terms of Use at any time. The updated version will be posted on the Platform with a revised effective date.
Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you must stop using the Platform.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the applicable laws of Canada.
Subject to applicable law, any dispute, claim, or legal proceeding arising from or related to these Terms or the Platform will be brought exclusively in the courts located in Alberta, Canada.
If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue in full force and effect.
Youth Hire Link’s failure to enforce any part of these Terms does not waive our right to enforce that or any other part of these Terms later.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional written service terms, form the entire agreement between you and Youth Hire Link regarding your use of the Platform.
